Narromine Shire Council has commended the performance of its General Manager, Mrs Jane Redden, who has served in the role for nearly nine years, following the completion of the annual review process.

The performance review panel, comprising Narromine Shire Council’s Mayor Clr Ewen Jones, Deputy Mayor Clr Stacey Bohm, Clr Judy Smith, and Clr Lachlan Roberts, confirmed a rating of more than satisfactory - exceeding 80%, highlighting strong leadership and notable achievements over the past year.

Mayor Ewen Jones said the outcome reflects Council’s confidence in the General Manager’s leadership and delivery.

“Our General Manager has guided excellent progress across Council’s Delivery Program, ensuring community priorities continue to be achieved,” said, Mayor Ewen Jones.

“Key highlights from the past year include advancing the Northern Drainage Project, delivering a comprehensive program of road works and making strong progress on essential community infrastructure. These achievements demonstrate that Council is delivering on its commitments.”

The review assessed performance against a broad range of indicators, with a strong focus on infrastructure delivery, financial management and community service outcomes.

Council is proud of the professionalism and dedication shown by our General Manager and staff. Together, we are maintaining momentum addressing important challenges and ensuring the Narromine region continues to grow as a great place to live work and invest, Mayor Ewen Jones added.
