Waste & Sustainability Education, Primary School Program
Council is supporting sustainability education for all primary school students in the council area with a Waste & Sustainability Program designed
and conducted by Impact Environmental Education.
The program’s fun and interactive workshops will educate students on how they can reduce the impacts of waste on our local environment and provides practical tips they can use at home and at school.
Modules offered in 2019 include “Everything Organic” and “All Packaged Out” which focus on organic waste recycling and reducing packaging waste.
The curriculum-linked workshops are conducted at the school. Delivery will commence from Term 2 and run throughout 2019.
Schools will be contacted by Impact Environmental Education Coordinator Jacqui Murray early in Term 1. Registration is easy, and schools will be able to choose delivery dates that suit their availability.
All primary schools in the Narromine Shire area are invited to register.

This project was supported by the Environmental Trust as part of the NSW Environment Protection Authority's Waste Less, Recycle More initiative, funded from the waste levy.
