Waste Audit and Action Plan Guide
Passionate young people and the educators who support and empower them are vital to sustainable futures.
Council’s Resource Recovery Education Officer can assist with provision of resources for school based waste audits and action plans to assist your school and students in reducing waste to landfill, reducing waste costs, and becoming a more sustainable school.
Waste Audit Action Guide |
To assist with conducting audits at your school, council offers the option to borrow an auditing kit which contains equipment required to conduct an audit.

School Resource Recovery Education Programs
Dubbo Regional Council, Narromine Shire Council and Mid-Western Regional Council are working together collaboratively to deliver a school resource recovery education program that links to the school curriculum, aiming to encourage positive waste behaviours in our wonderful young people while addressing NSW Department of Education key learning areas.
Primary School Programs
Council fully funds provision of fun engaging workshops where students learn about issues surrounding waste and our resource use. The workshops provided are curriculum linked and are delivered at no cost to schools.
This program will be offered from Term 2 through to Term 4 2022. Registration for the program is required by the end of Term 1 (1st April). After this date schools can still contact the coordinator as places may be available. To find out more about the workshops offered and to register for this program interested schools should contact wasteeducation@dubbo.nsw.gov.au
