Narromine Shire Council update for COVID-19

In an effort to stop the spread of COVID-19 the NSW Government has taken significant steps to increase restrictions across the state.

The restrictions include the closure of pubs, registered clubs, gyms, indoor sports venues, cinemas, entertainment venues, casinos, night clubs, restaurants and cafes (takeaway available), religious gatherings and places of worship.

To align with the NSW Governments restrictions and to protect Council staff the following Council businesses and services are being affected from Monday 23 March 2020 until further notice;

All other Council services are not affected at this time including;

Narromine Shire Council’s General Manager Jane Redden said “Waste collections will continue as scheduled, water and sewer services will continue and staff are continuing to maintain public spaces, roads and the Waste Facilities.”

“Council will continue to monitor the national Corona Virus (COVID-19) pandemic in this constantly changing environment and would like to assure the community that essential services will continue”

“Council outdoor work operations are being assessed to ensure the ongoing safety of our employees and the community” she said.

All suppliers to Council will continue to be paid in accordance with agreed payment terms.
