Community Strategic Plan 2035
Have Your Say on the Future of Narromine Shire Local Government Area
Narromine Shire Council is committed to shaping a bright future for our region to ensure the community thrives today and into the future.
To achieve this, Council has embarked on the review of Council's 10-Year Community Strategic Plan (CSP).
What is the Community Strategic Plan
The Community Strategic Plan is more than a document; it shares the community vision and aspirations for the future of the Narromine Shire.
Every four years, following local government elections, councils across NSW review their existing Community Strategic Plan (CSP).
The CSP is Council’s highest-level plan, translating the community’s desired outcomes for the Shire into key goals for the next 10 years by providing a long-term framework on how all stakeholders will work towards a brighter future for the Narromine Shire Local Government Area.
The CSP addresses four key questions:
- Where are we now?
- Where do we want to be in ten years?
- How will we get there?
- How will we know when we have arrived?
Why We Need Your Input
The success of the Community Strategic Plan depends on the voices of those who live, work and play in the Narromine Shire.
Recently Council engaged the community through surveys and consultations to ensure a future plan reflects what matters most. The insights gathered played a key role in shaping the 2025 Draft Community Strategic Plan.
2025 Draft Community Strategic Plan is now open for comment
At its Ordinary Meeting on Wednesday, 12 March 2025, Council resolved to place the Draft Community Strategic Plan 2035 on public exhibition for at least 28 days (Resolution 2025/330).
The community is invited to review the draft plan and share their feedback.
Please visit Public Exhibition to read 2025 Draft Community Strategic Plan.
