Adrenaline charged aerobatic championships will be held in Narromine

Narromine’s skies will become a competition playground for the finest aerobatic pilots in the nation from 12 – 15 May 2022.

Narromine Shire Council General Manager Mrs Jane Redden said Council is once again pleased to be hosting the NSW Championships at the Narromine Aerodrome.

“Council’s Aerodrome is a world class recreational flying facility and is an important economic driver for our local economy. Along with the favourable weather conditions that we experience, the Narromine region is the perfect location to attract and host these significant aviation events,” Mrs Redden said.

The Aerobatic Championships involves pilots flying aerobatic manoeuvres in a set sequence and the event is run in accordance with Council’s Fly Neighbourly Policy (2019).

Council encourages visitors and spectators that are interested in this adrenaline-charged sport to visit the Narromine Aerodrome over the period of competition to watch and speak to the competitors about their skills and their aircraft, added Mrs Redden.

Further information about the competition can be directed to the Australian Aerobatic Club, NSW Chapter Secretary Mr Ray Pearson via email aacnswchap@gmail.com or by phoning 0417 465 313.
