Council Is Reviewing Its Community Strategic Plan - Have Your Say!

Narromine Shire Council is reviewing its Community Strategic Plan 2035 and is calling on residents to help shape the future of the Shire.

The Community Strategic Plan is the Council’s main planning document, highlighting community priorities and setting goals to achieve them.

Narromine Shire Council’s Mayor, Clr Ewen Jones says community input is essential, “We’re planning for the next 10 years, and we need your ideas to create a plan that reflects the future you want for the Narromine region.”

The review will run over the next few months, offering plenty of opportunities to contribute. The first step is an online survey, now live on the Council website under the Community Strategic Plan 2035 section.

Clr Jones reflected on recent challenges from the past three years, including recovering from the COVID-19 pandemic, dealing with floods and managing rising living costs. He emphasised: "These challenges show why it's so important to plan carefully and protect what matters most to us.” 

It’s a chance to share what you love about the Narromine Local Government Area, its strengths and ideas for tackling challenges.

The feedback that is collected will directly shape the updated Community Strategic Plan 2035, ensuring it reflects what truly matters to the community, he added.

The survey is open to everyone who lives or works in the Shire.
