Council’s Community Donations Fund Approved

At its ordinary meeting held Wednesday 9 September 2020, Council resolved to allocate over $18,000 of funding from the Community Donations Fund to nine Community Groups.

Council requested applications for financial assistance from community groups and individuals under Council’s Donation, Sponsorships and Waiver of Fees Policy in August 2020.

The Following Community Groups were successful;

Narromine Shire Council’s General Manager, Jane Redden said “the Donations, Sponsorship and Waiver of Fees program is a great opportunity to support Community Groups within the Shire”

“2020 has caused a number of issues for our Community Groups particularly in relation to fundraising, so it is great that Council is able to support them where possible” she said.

As part of the Community Donations Fund, Council also allocates annual funding to the Shire’s Australia Day Committees, local schools for annual presentation nights, Rotary Club of Narromine for the management of the Wetlands, Venetian Carnival, Narromine District Cricket Association, Western Regional Academy of Sport and Mungery Hall Trust.
