Overcoming the challenges of recruiting, training and retaining the right employees

As part of the 2023 Growing Narromine Workshop Series, Narromine Shire Council and Workforce Australia Local Jobs Program will host a range of free short courses for local employers in July 2023. Narromine Shire Council Mayor, Clr Craig Davies says,” The lunchtime seminars will provide information and strategies for employers on how to attract, train and build a strong team of people into their business.”

When speaking to business owners throughout the Narromine region, the attraction of staff and people appears to be the most common issue that is discussed. These free lunchtime sessions are designed to offer businesses simple informative advice and tools that can be used immediately. 

Council is hoping to attract as many business people as possible by offering the sessions over lunchtime. The seminars will run for 90 minutes and will include a light lunch, added Clr Davies.

The first session topic is Want to attract great staff? How and where to find them will be held on Tuesday, 18 July 2023 at Narromine Shire Council Chambers 124 Dandaloo Street.

Seminar 2 – Training and Development: Supporting Your People and Business, Tuesday 15 August 2023

Seminar 3 – Becoming an Employer of Choice: Creating a Culture of Loyalty, Tuesday 19 September 2023

Seminar 4 – People Planning for Business Growth: The A-Z of people planning Tuesday 17 October 2023
